Welcome to Maple Bloom Farm!
We're a couple of Island-born green thumbs with a desire and a passion to grow healthy, beautiful food and flowers in harmony with the natural environment that we all share. Come visit us anytime on our farm in Valleyfield, PEI!
Our community supported agriculture (CSA) program is a convenient, one-stop way to get healthy, fresh, locally produced veggies free of synthetic sprays throughout the summer and fall. When you sign up, you'll receive 20 veggie boxes over 20 weeks from July to November* filled with veggies of your choosing, as well as an option for cut flower bouquets when available.
*We may also offer earlier and later veggie boxes if supplies are available. If you're interested, just let us know!

- Where and When Do I Pick Up My Veggies Boxes?

- Are You Organic?
Growing healthy food in harmony with the environment is our top priority. We will be seeking organic certification from an organic certification board in the 2015 growing season. We use the same organic growing methods that have been practiced on our land for the past 25 years.
All of our produce is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. We also implement crop rotation, which is important for maintaining the health of our soil. Our growing practices are in line with the Organic Products Regulations of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Canada's official organic certification board.
- How Can I Help Out?
Word of mouth is our best friend, and we have plenty of spots in our CSA still open, so please spread the word to your friends, family, on Facebook and other social media, or to anyone else you know who might be interested in signing up. Refer a friend and have them drop your name when they sign up, members receive a $20 discount off of their fee, and non-members receive a $20 veggie box free! We also welcome people to come out to visit us on the farm or join us in our work any time.
- A Little (More) About Us
We are Jordan MacPhee and Catherine Bailey, born and raised in Prince Edward Island. We met while taking classes together at the University of Prince Edward Island in 2010 and have been drawn together by our passion for nurturing living things, plants and animals alike.
When he's not farming, Jordan is a student of political science and environmental studies at UPEI, a board member of the Environmental Coalition of PEI (ECO-PEI), lead singer and guitarist with The Downwalls, and a man privately capable of many unusual voices and strange facial expressions.
Catherine, a recent graduate of UPEI, is a hobby painter and sketcher, a splendiferous flautist, an avid adorer of furry felines, and also an accomplished photographer -- check out Photo Cat PEI on Facebook to look at some of her great work and get in touch for a photo shoot!
