Mad Dog Motorsports was founded in September 2011 by Devon Germain and Colton Crooks. The two made a natural connection being life long friends which followed in the footsteps of their derby driving fathers. After competing as a duo for 4 years they strategically added the experience they were looking for with the hard hitting, crazy, skinny pedal to the floor driving styles of BJ Haining. BJ hails from Smithville, Ontario and has racked up countless Mad Dog trophies running pro mod and straight stock cars in southern Ontario. His style of driving is best described as "point and shoot". In 2015 the team also added a the solid experience of driver Ryan Eggleton. His stellar hard hitting performance at Fall Brawl 6 in Lindsay, Ontario earned him a Mad Dog in his heat. Ryan brings 13 years experience to the team. Founding member Devon Germain has been driving 6 years and has progressed exponentially with his builds and hard hits. He has racked up heat and feature wins along with a mad dog award competing at his first competition in the USA. Devon's best friend, Colton Crooks has been derbying 5 years with 2015 being his most successful year to date finishing several top 10's with a 3rd place finish at Binbrook Fair. In 2016 the team will see two couples cars competing at the annual Fall Brawl with Matt & Shannon McCarrell and Devon & Kristi Germain. The team will represent Mad Dog Motorsports with the women driving while the men come along for the ride. Team 1201/2 and 28 look forward to running together for the first time. The team will also introduce a youth driver in 2016 with Emily Nero competing at her first derby at the age of 14 followed by another youth team member running in 2017 when Brooke Switzer will run her first derby. The Mad Dog team is positioning to continue to grow with the cultivating of some young solid talent.
