Kunamokst Mural

Kunamokst means “Together” in Chinook Jargon, and represents ‘Unity through Diversity’, which forms the umbrella concept for the stunning 12’ x 21’ Kunamokst Mural. The Mural is comprised of 231 12” x 12” original paintings created by 190 artists from throughout the West Coast, including Roy Henry Vickers and Robert Bateman and 31 of Galiano’s finest artists. Each artist was given a colour palette as a guideline, but did not know what the final assembled mosaic would depict. They were asked to be inspired by the richness and beauty of the west coast.
