Été 1937, Joseph-Henri Lamontagne ouvrait son premier magasin sur la rue St-Georges à Lévis. Il se lançait alors en affaire en faisant la vente et la réparation de bicyclettes. Vous savez maintenant que l’excellente réputation de J.H. Lamontagne ne date pas d’hier. Mai 1987, M. Jacques Lamontagne, fils de Joseph-Henri se portait acquéreur du magasin. À la veille de ses cinquante années d’existence, le magasin J.H. Lamontagne Sports se tient toujours à la fine pointe des nouveautés dans le monde du sport. Été 1996, J.H. Lamontagne déménage dans ses nouveaux locaux, juste en face des anciens. Un déménagement qui offrait une occasion en or pour tout repenser et surtout pour faire plus de place que jamais. Maintenant installé sur un seul plancher, le nouveau magasin permet d’offrir un service supérieur à sa clientèle et de faire bénéficier aux amateurs de sports les meilleurs conseils de professionnels qui sont sur place. En 2003, une troisième génération reprend le flambeau de JH Lamontagne. Charles Lamontagne, fils de Jacques Lamontagne et Nicolas Sénéchal deviennent associés.
