WHO WE ARE….. ION Fitness is a co-ed gym located on main-street in Bashaw. For those familiar with Bashaw, the gym was previously known as Wildrose Fitness Centre. My husband Ryan and I purchased the gym and officially took possession on October 1, 2011. We are very excited to take on this new challenge and look forward to getting to know all of our members. WHAT WE ARE….. ION Fitness is a key fob access facility available to members only. Each member has a key fob that allows them access from 5 am to midnight 7 days a week. This security camera monitored facility offers monthly to six month or 5 - 10 pass (drop-in) memberships. I truly understand the demands of a hectic lifestyle. Sometimes the thought of trying to incorporate a fitness/wellness program into that lifestyle can seem like an insurmountable task. I am here to tell you that it is not, and I try to be as flexible as possible in trying to meet your fitness needs and goals. The bottom line is you are worth it and you can do it! Here is what I offer: Individual Training Program Creation Your two-month (8 week) exercise/training program including exercises, schedule, frequency, duration, and a basic fitness assessment. Personal Training Sessions in a Gym Sessions are offered in ½ or 1 hour blocks of time. We will go through the exercise program that I have designed for you together, so I can challenge and encourage you. In Home Fitness Training In some cases I offer in home training and will come to you when it is convenient. Basic equipment (e.g. a treadmill, a few weights, etc.) is required and the responsibility of the client. The same personal training rate applies, PLUS travel time and mileage costs as listed below. Group Training Sessions in a Gym Depending on the surroundings, I will work with 2 clients at a time. A circuit training approach seems to work best in this scenario. Each client is charged for the Individual Training Program cost, but the hourly training rate would be discounted. Basic Nutritional Counseling To get maximum results from any exercise program, healthy eating is essential. Sometimes simple changes make all the difference. Together we talk about a realistic plan to supplement your training program so you feel great, get the most out of your workouts, and achieve your wellness goals. A Bit About Me I am an ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association) Certified Fitness Trainer. I am currently working toward my Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma through NAIT and am hoping to complete the program in April in 2014. I am also a NASM - CES (National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist), and have a Specialist in Sports Nutrition Certificate through the ISSA. My training sessions are available by appointment ONLY. Personal training sessions and nutrition counselling are not part of a regular membership.
