Ingonish Whale Watching

If you are planning to visit Ingonish or surrounding area, pack your camera and binoculars and get ready for the experience of a lifetime off of the coast of Cape Breton. Join Captain Chester Whitty aboard the 45 ft (13.7 m) fishing/touring vessel for a thrilling 2 hour tour of the North Atlantic off of the coast of Smokey Mountain. Capt. Chester Whitty, a life long resident of Ingonish Beach, will take you on a spectacular adventure including whale sightings and/or a demonstration of how lobsters are trapped. Capt. Chester is a seasoned veteran of the sea, having fished both lobster and snow crab for over 30 years. He enjoys sharing his experiences with travelers. He is joined by his son Graham, who acts as the tour guide throughout the experience, pointing out landmarks on the coast and providing information regarding whale sightings, as well as answering questions. Ingonish Whale Watch opened for business beginning June 1st with tours at 1pm and 4pm (until July 14th).
