À l’ère internet, Portneuf se devait de posséder un média pouvant informer les gens chaque jour. Le journal Web www.infoportneuf.com fut donc créé en janvier 2009 et mis en ligne le mois suivant. L’idée de départ appartient à Gaétan Borgia et Claude Renaud de l’entreprise Les Impressions Borgia de Saint-Raymond ainsi qu’à Christian Galibois de la firme Idée-Concept de Pont-Rouge. Les projections optimistes du départ voyaient 2 500 visites par mois. Deux ans plus tard, on peut compter plus de 30 000 visites par mois et près de 2 000 000 de clics pour la même période. Plus de 1 600 infolettres sont aussi envoyées chaque jour. Les gens de Portneuf sont donc au rendez-vous et consultent régulièrement ce site de nouvelles.
