Homeopathy is a truly holistic, scientific and complete system of medicine. For more than 200 years it has been used worldwide by individuals seeking a safe and effective way to treat illness and improve health. Homeopaths prescribe homeopathic medicines, also known as "remedies" to treat the root cause of illness and stimulate the immune system, allowing the body to restore balance and health. Homeopathic remedies are non-toxic, inexpensive and act gently. Treating infants and children with homeopathic medicine is a safe and effective way to address a wide range of ailments, such as painful teething, colic, sleep complaints and behavioural issues. Homeopathy is also a great option during pregnancy and can bring relief of back pain, morning sickness and indigestion, as well as problems that arise while nursing. Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment to fill in your personal information. During the visit we will review your medical history and discuss all of your symptoms - mental, emotional and physical. You will be asked to fully describe any current symptoms in detail, as well as your sleep patterns, sensitivities to foods, weather or temperature, how you respond to stress and your individual nature. A homeopathic remedy will be prescribed to match your unique symptom profile. Follow-up visits will vary depending on the condition, but in the beginning there should be at least 4 follow-up visits scheduled 3-4 weeks apart. This helps the homeopath evaluate the treatment and make any neccessary adjustments. It is extremely important to have consistent follow up visits to achieve good results. Those who stick with their homeopathic treatment consistently get the best results. Your health insurance may cover all or part of your visits to a homeopath, it will depend on your insurer and their coverage package.
