Hinger House Bed & Breakfast

Mike and Lori Hinger are the owners of Hinger House Bed & Breakfast. The idea to start a B&B has been brewing in their minds for the past several years and finally came to fruition with the recent completion of their home. Goodsoil is Mike's hometown and when they relocated here in the fall of 2009 they began to search for a place suitable to carry out their dream of building a home that would eventually become a B&B. They finally settled on 30 St. Boniface Avenue with a 624 sq. ft., fifty plus year old house on the property. Mike totally gutted the old house and put on a new roof with a vaulted ceiling. The renovation took about a year to complete and resulted in an updated one bedroom, fully contained suite. The Hinger's moved into the renovated suite in August 2011 and then began construction on the 1200 sq ft addition which they were able to move into in April 2012. The guest rooms and common area were completed in July 2013. The decision to name the bed and breakfast "Hinger House" came as a result of the Hinger's desire to honor Mike's parents, John and Vicki Hinger. John and Vicki were pioneers in the Goodsoil area and were known for their exceptional hospitality. Their home was always open to visitors and even though there were 12 children in the family, they never hesitated to offer a bed and a meal. The home that Mike grew up in is located just down the road from the bed and breakfast. Two bedrooms are available for rent, each with a queen sized bed and private bathroom. There is a common area for guests to enjoy which includes a wet bar, fridge, gas fireplace and 50" TV.
