Our studio is open to bands and singer/songwriters at amazing recording rates. And we offer eclectic, innovative and original music composition, performance and production all in one place. We create music for film, television and advertising, working on your timeline and serving your needs quickly and efficiently. Every style can be created – from World Beat to the Blues, from Jazz to Techno – drawing on the expertise of seasoned musician, sound engineer and producer, Jamie Alcorn and award winning filmmaker and songwriter, Nance Ackerman. With years of musical experience behind it, Heartstring is a full recording, mixing and mastering facility. In our hip, oceanside studio we tackle everything from small media projects to advertising to full-length films – our studio can handle it all. Utilizing state of the art audio plug-ins and high end multi-effects modeling software, Heartstring delivers. With the most beautiful views from any Control Room in Atlantic Canada, there's no better place to make music. Only 25 minutes from downtown, our two-level session room and large isolation booth, offer multi track live recording as well as a unique recording experience. With three Gemini nominations for direction and soundtrack in our first year of operation, and a multitude of sound production and engineering awards, Heartstring has musicianship, expertise and experience.
