In both their physical, as well as their archetypal form, horses have lent themselves to us as a species they help to bring us back to something wild and unrestrained, reminding us of a sense of freedom that many of us have forgotten. Horses have carried history on their backs, helping humans navigate on their external travels. Whenever man has left his/her footprint in the long accent from barbarism to civilization we will find the hoof print of a horse beside it. They teach us about honesty and authenticity, because they know no other way of being. Horses have from the beginning of time played a key role in human evolution. They have been perceived as mediums bridging the visible and invisible as well as the animal and human realms, providing spiritual guidance or leading people to some sort of lost power with a special knowledge of healing.
