Our Mission: To encourage healthy and sustainable lifestyle choices which support our local economy and the well-being of the people who live here. Our Objectives: - To increase healthy eating and lifestyle choices by providing the community an accessible venue to local food producers in the form of a weekly Farmers’ Market that offers seasonal, local produce. - We will support Nova Scotian businesses by offering a location for them to promote and sell their items and to promote this venue on their behalf to the local residents. - We will encourage sustainable lifestyle choices such as pesticide-free gardening, recycling, energy efficiency, nutrition and cooking workshops and educational materials. - We will enhance the quality of community living by utilizing the Farmers’ Market forum to promote events of the local arts community, environmental initiatives and active living programs. This venue will also provide social opportunities for people to connect with neighbours, friends and businesses in a comfortable, fun environment.
