Haliburton Concert Series

In 1979 the Haliburton Concert Series was formed to bring great classical music concerts to Haliburton County. Each year three concerts are presented by visiting professional musicians. The musicians that have performed for us include The Gryphon Trio, Suzie LeBlanc and Robert Kortgaard, Quartetto Gelato, Robert Silverman, Bax & Chung, Guy Few, Triple Forte, and Nadina Mackie Jackson. Every once in a while we present a concert that is not classical, such as we did for our 35th season when Michael Burgess and Rebecca Caine opened the season. Our season goes by calendar year, and we present one concert in the spring (late April or early May), and two in the fall (September through early November). In 2014 we will feature Foothills Brass on April 26, Trio '86 on September 13, and pianist Mauro Bertoli on October 19. Subscriptions are sold for the series. Admission to the fall concerts may be available by single ticket if available. Tickets are available from June Smith - 705-457-3272 and june.smith705@gmail.com. Subscriptions for 2014 are $60, students $25. Single tickets for September and October, if available, will be $30 adults and $10 students. We are grateful for the continuing support of the Ontario Arts Council, which makes the presentation of these concerts possible.
