He also has experience in the investment and insurance industries. Prior to entering the world of entrepreneurship, George was well known as a creative lender at a major chartered Canadian bank at various locations throughout Ontario including Guelph, Fergus , Rockwood, Kincardine and Ottawa. He has political experience at the municipal level , and has sat on various political, business and not for profit boards and committees. George was born and raised in the Eden Mills area (the youngest of 9 children) , spent many of his early years in Rockwood going to school and working at the Rockwood Conservation Area , graduated from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay - and while his early banking & financial career took George across the province , Centre Wellington has been home for 24 years. George is an avid supporter of the arts & downtown communities – and definitely his hometown community ( he has won corporate citizen awards twice ) … and admits to being a bit of a travel addict.
