Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Program What is LINC? •LINC is an English language and Settlement training program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (www.cic.gc.ca) that is offered at Keyano College to adult newcomers who are Permanent Residents and Conventional Refugees. Who can take LINC? •Permanent Residents or Conventional Refugees, 18 years or older About LINC Classes: •Classes range from Literacy Level 0 to 6 •Part-time classes are 12 hours a week and are offered in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings •New students accepted into classes on the first Monday of every month •Class sizes are limited •Classes focus on English speaking, reading, writing and listening skills Keyano College has many English as an Additional Language (EAL) learning opportunities for you to choose from. The courses available in the EAL Program are designed to help improve your language skills and develop confidence. Choose from a variety of courses to help meet your specific language needs and goals. Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Testing (CLBPT) is required prior to course placement.
