Engineering & Computer Science Association [ECA] - Concordia University

The ECA works throughout the year to provide its students with a relaxed and fun environment to study, and helps this goal by providing many venues for social interaction. Orientation, our weekly Lizard Lounge and our B-Annex lounge are just some of the ways that you can decompress between classes. Throughout the year, many sporting events are also organized: curling nights, golf tournaments, football games and even participation in intramural hockey leagues. Externally, the ECA has propelled Concordia Engineering and Computer Science into the spotlight both provincially and nationally. Now in its 30th year, the Troitsky Bridge Building Competition is a nationally recognized event with participants from all over Canada and even the USA. Concordia has played host to the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students National Congress in 2007, hosted the Quebec Engineering Competition in 2008 and in 2006 hosted the Quebec Confederation for Engineering Student Outreach meeting in September of that year. Concordia has also begun to nominate its own students for positions in both the provincial and national student leadership of engineering.
