Tel 519-842-5291 Dr Jonathan Arnel grew up in the Ailsa Craig area and attended the University of Waterloo before venturing off to Boston, Massachusetts where he attended the New England College of Optometry. While in Boston he worked as a research assistant for the Centre for Myopia Research and coauthored two papers on the subject. He graduated on the Dean’s list with the designation of Magna Cum Laude. Upon graduation in 1997 he returned to Ontario and worked in the London area before settling in Tillsonburg in 1998. In 2000 Dr. Arnel joined the CSAO ( Canadian Standards Assessment in Optometry ) as an assessor, and in 2006 he assumed the role of Managing Assessor for the CSAO ( now know as the CACO-Canadian Assessment of Competencies in Optometry) and continues this role now. Since opening his own practice Dr. Arnel has had the good fortune of working with the great people of TLC Laser Eye Centres as well as continuing to serve the community of Tillsonburg where his office is located. Dr Arnel offers a full scope practice including child and family primary eye care. He is also fully certified in ocular therapeutic therapy and laser vision co management. Dr Arnel lives in Tillsonburg with his wife and two children. His passions are running, karate and cycling, all when time permits.
