Dr. Darrell R. Johnson, Psychologist

Life can be tough sometimes, can't it? Sometimes you just need someone from outside your life to help you get some perspective on your life. And that's what therapy is about. Jung believed the three stages of therapy to be "confession", "education" and "transformation". I have learned to adapt to the particular need of my clients, which may be any one of these three. My approach is respectful and warm, involved and active, and I do more than "just listen" although the beginning point of therapy is always listening and striving to understand your reality. My job is sometimes that of a teacher and trainer, sometimes that of a coach, helping motivate you to use the abilities you already have. The work we do together can serve as a catalyst towards change. And sometimes the first thing you need to acquire is the HOPE that you will be able to change. ____________________ I have a second office in downtown Montreal (where I am not presently taking on new clients): 1535 Sherbrooke St. W., Montreal, QC H3G 1L7 (Thurs. 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Fri. 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.)
