Instructor Background - Ryan-Ann King obtained her obedience training certification at Canada West Canine Center in 2000. Since then she has accumulated 15 years of experience in dog training and behavior. She has worked as an obedience instructor, behavior modification consultant, animal control officer as a Peace Officer with the Alberta SPCA. She has been pursuing the art of Canine Scent Detection for over 2 years, thanks to mentor Roseanna Gullekson. She also has attended an intensive, 3 day seminar with Don Blair, canine training specialist with world-wide experience, and owner of Canine Intelligence. Ryan-Ann has demonstrated and instructed Scent Detection at several public events and seminars. She was proud to successfully compete in Alberta's premier Sporting Dog Detection Trial in April 2014 with 2 of her dogs. Currently she works with 3 Dutch Shepherds, Knox, Charm, Kohlt and a small rescue pom X, Elliot. Currently offerin Canine Scent Detection classes and seminars; obedience training, behavior modification and private in-home sessions.
