Cosentino Cottage Rental

Located on the north shore of Little Glamor Lake, this is a brand new cottage and was just constructed in 2013. This cottage is very private and is located on a wooded two acre lot with 170 feet of waterfront. Because this cottage enjoys a southern exposure you get to enjoy sunshine all day. The cottage is tastefully decorated and features all of the amenities that you would expect in a new home. The building is 1400 square feet on the main floor. The upstairs design is that of an open concept with a great room, tv, dvd, woodstove, fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, glass tile backsplash, propane gas cook stove and dishwasher. The cottage has three bedrooms on the main floor with one bedroom located on the lower level adjacent to the games room. The main floor bathroom features a restored antique soaker cast iron bathtub while the full size washroom on the lower level features a walk-in shower in spa like surroundings. The water is potable and is sourced from a 150 foot well. The cottage also features an infrared bbq located on the deck, with inline propane (no tanks to deal with), also provided by the owner, located close to the kitchen. The games room holds a 4 X 8 pool table, a large wall mounted flat screen tv, dvd player, stereo and Napoleon gas fireplace for your comfort during the winter months. Although there is no tv reception the cottage features a huge library of contemporary dvds and WIFI for the use of guests. The deck will comfortably handle a large group and extends off of the eating area adjacent to the kitchen and provides a great view of the park like walkway to the lake. A fully enclosed sunroom also extends off the kitchen and provides an alternate eating area or a place to read a book, play some chess or catch 40 winks on the day bed. At lakeside swimming is excellent and at lake entrance the bottom is a hard sand bottom with natural stone steps into the water. There is a raft and a floating dock attached to a fixed deck. The dock is equipped to tie up two boats. A canoe, two kayaks, life jackets and paddles are provided as well as a number of beach toys such a poly noodles and large squirt guns. At lakeside there is also a seating area located adjacent to the fixed portion of the dock nestled underneath a cluster of cedar trees. There we have positioned a patio table and a number of chairs for your group. There is also a small cabin located close to the dock which is used as a change area and is also used for temporary storage of beach accessories. There is a campfire circle located halfway between the lake and the cottage where there are chairs provided with fire wood, also provided by the owner, for your evening singsong, campfire stories and marshmallow roasting pleasure. The two lake system that we are on features excellent bass and rainbow trout fishing, swimming, boating and the area boasts excellent hiking and atv oppourtunities. There are plenty of winter activities including ice fishing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, skating and awesome snowmobiling with an excellent trail system. We are also located only about 45 minutes from Sir Sams Inn Ski Resort. The cottage is located 12 kilometers from the hamlet of Gooderham, 25 kilometers from the village of Haliburton and 25 kilometers from the village of Wilberforce. All your cottage needs are to be found in all three locations; a liquor/beer store, post office, gas station, library, grocery/convenience store and hardware store. A cottage handbook is provided which encapsulates everything that you need to know about the cottage, surrounding area and activities. The owner provides pillows, blankets and a start up supply of paper towels and toilet paper. Guests are requested to bring their own towels and linens, alternately bed linens can be provided at extra charge. Laundry facilities are not available. Families and or mature couples are preferred.
