At the Chestermere Community Playschool, we believe that play is a fundamental part of every child’s learning, growth and development. We offer an affordable program that emphasizes the social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development of children through teaching that is play-based but also curriculum guided. Our playschool helps children make a gradual transition from home to Kindergarten with classes for three year olds running two days each week and classes for four year olds running three days each week. Our location in the Chestermere Regional Recreation Centre gives us access to great facilities – our program includes daily gym time and a regular skating program. We are different from other playschools in that we are parent-run, so we don’t operate to make a profit. This means families attending our school play a big role in our program through volunteer roles – if you want to have hand in your child’s early introduction to education, we may be the school for you. Our teaching team provides a safe environment where individual differences are appreciated, communication is open and each child's needs are addressed.
