Charlotte's Trading Post

The Chamber of Commerce recognizes that contemporary and heritage craft arts provide a true reflection of our regional culture. In that vein, Charlotte’s Trading Post was established. The Chamber has a dual role: to support the craft sector of local artisans, businesses and networks that contribute to the economic growth of our region; and to develop a strategy for our members and community that ties into the regional tourism strategy. Charlotte’s Trading Post is a start-up retail store offering special selected local and Canadian products. The store will be located in the Visitor Centre and Museum building catering to the middle and upper-class tourists who look beyond the congested retail malls for the special shopping experience. In addition to offering a wide array of unique, quality products, our customers will enjoy friendly and knowledgeable customer service and convenient location. Charlotte’s Trading Post will provide quality souvenir items for our tourists as well as promote our local artisans. The Post will serve as a hub to direct visitors to local attractions and businesses much as the Chamber and Visitor Centre already does. Our artisans will have the opportunity to display their product as well as an opportunity to direct customers to their studio location or other retail outlets. The store will carry local products, Alberta and Canadian products. We want to provide products from quality suppliers and provide professional customer service in a friendly environment.
