Carla Wainwright Yoga

Carla started practicing yoga in 1996 so she could touch her toes. Seventeen years later she definitely can touch her toes, and is helping others nourish their unique journey toward self discovery. Carla has studied with Mugs McConnell, Shirley Daventry French, Erich Schiffmann, Shiva Rea, Rod Stryker, Dana Flynn and Geeta Iyengar. Her practice and teaching explores opening and connecting to the mayakoshas (sheaths) or layers of being as a means to merge with the Essential Self. Each sheath is an integral part of who we are: the physical, energetic/emotional, mental, intuitive and bliss body. As we search for equilibrium both within and in between these layers, we begin to truly understand ourselves and the outside world around us. Carla is a founding owner of Chinook Yoga in Prince George, BC and is a Director within the Primary Faculty of the SOYA Yoga Teacher Training Program. She has more than fifteen years of yoga teaching experience and has taught many practitioners to become yoga teachers themselves. Carla is also a Doctor of Homeopathy and loves to creatively integrate the principles of Yoga and Homeopathy to help unlock a student’s deepest potential within.
