Canora School Aged Childcare

Our center is operated by McCauley Community After School Care Association. McCauley ASCC is a non-profit organization formed in 1980, providing care for children from 12 months to 12 years. Canora SACC accepts children from Kindergarten - Grade 6. Our funding comes from a variety of sources: parents pay fees for our service, we accept donations and give charity receipts for donations. We are paid by subsidy for some low-income families, and in a few cases, the fees are paid by child welfare. We also do quarterly fundraisers and apply for multiple grants. Canora operates Mon - Fri from 6:30 am - 5:45 pm, and we are closed Saturdays and Sundays and all general holidays. Our programs are recreational, educational, and designed to meet the child's developmental needs. We generally plan around children's interests, parent and staff suggestions, and seasonal events. We believe that children learn best through a wide variety of experiences. The child-oriented environment will keep the child occupied, facilitate learning and will help to prevent inappropriate behaviors. Our aim is to provide a wide variety of opportunities every day.
