Beachbody Challenge: Alannah's page

Hey everyone! I am an 18 year old Cape Breton girl, and I would love to help you guys with your fitness goals :) I am very focused on living a healthier lifestyle since about two years, and this is why: On October 3rd, 2011, I was in a major car accident with three of my friends and my little brother. My best friend and another amazing friend were killed, my little brother was in a coma for a week with brain injuries, and I had broken my neck in THREE different places; C1, C6, and C7. I basically thought my life was over. I thought I would never heal from the tragedies that had taken place, but when my little brother woke up from the coma it gave me the strength I needed. I had a 10 pound metal halo brace screwed into my skull in 4 places, and a brace going over half way down my torso that I was not allowed to take off for 3 months. It made me weak. Although this forced my body to gain weight because I wasn't allowed to do any physical activity, it also made me realize just how important it is to have a strong, healthy body. The doctors said that if I hadn't been in shape, I probably would not have survived the breaks. Anyway, after getting my halo off, I knew it was time to be serious about working out. About a year later, I completed Insanity. Then I completed T25. Now, I am in university, and am extremely addicted to the gym:) I am proud of myself for doing these things, and I am much happier with the way I look. YOUR BODY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, SO TREAT IT WITH THE RESPECT THAT IT DESERVES <3 I will help each and every one of you reach your goals, and live a better, healthier lifestyle :) Much love, Alannah :)
