Apple Harvest Craft Show

Since 1983 the Apple Harvest Craft Show has become one of the largest in southern Ontario, attracting close to 200 artisans and crafters with a waiting list of others wanting to participate. Located in two buildings; the Meaford Community Centre and the Meaford Curling Club. The show takes place annually the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Apple Harvest Craft Show is a juried show choosing artisans and crafters that are unique and offer creative items with care taken to reduce duplication, assuring visitors will have the best opportunity to see as large a variety of work as possible. Many visitors to the Apple Harvest Craft Show take advantage of the timing of this show to shop for Christmas, finding unique and special gifts. Come early while the selection is best as many of the items are handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. The Apple Harvest Craft Show has something for everyone with many new crafters attending each year. You’ll find hand thrown pottery, wooden games and toys, photography, candles, stained glass, woodworking, high end fashions, leather work, stuffed animals, painting, spinning and weaving and handmade jewellery, to mention just a few. Some of the artisans will be demonstrating their work during the show and many take custom orders during the show as well. Make a day or weekend of it and come and visit the annual Apple Harvest Craft Show and the Scarecrow Invasion in Meaford. The harvest of Georgian Bay apples will be well underway and the beauty of the fall colours along the shores of Georgian Bay and the Beaver Valley will enhance your drive. Be sure to stop by one of the many apple stands and pick up delicious Georgian Bay apples right from the orchard. Proceeds from the annual Apple Harvest Craft Show are donated to a number of community projects. Over $1 million dollars has been donated to various projects to support and enhance our community since the beginning of the Meaford Apple Harvest Craft Show.
