Angella Abel - Realtor - Seller Direct Fort McMurray

My name is Angella Abel and I’m originally from the west coast of Vancouver Island. I have called Fort McMurray home for 6 years and like many of us, I did not plan on being here for more than a few years, which is a story we hear often in Fort McMurray. When I came here, I did not expect it to be the amazing community I now know exists. My family and I all decided to pack up, leave some of our family, friends, and the lifestyle we were once accustomed to in hopes for a better future. There’s no denying that this was a personal sacrifice we chose in order to build something more for ourselves. Like many of you, I have had the privilege of making the most incredible friends who have now become like family to me. I believe that a truly happy life is built on a work/life balance, and that both are equally important. We cannot have work without a life, and we cannot have a life without work. For me, helping you buy or sell a home fulfills both of these areas in my life. As a busy mother of two, I learned early on how to juggle my business and personal life. When my oldest daughter was only 9 months old I launched my first company “Got a Match?” which helped individuals in our community make potential life-long connections. While it was short lived, the business attained great success, which made it hard to put it on the back burner when I found out I was expecting our second child only shortly after opening the doors. When I became a mother of two, I was no longer in the same phase of life as my clients and decided to pursue alternative career opportunities. I have never been capable of sitting still, and even though I was chasing an 18 month old and waking up six times a night with a newborn, I craved accomplishing something for myself that fit with my life as a mom. What started out as a hobby quickly became a business when I began refinishing vintage and antique furniture, traveling all over southern Alberta to collect new items. By day I was a mommy, wiping tears and changing bums, but by night I was taking old, forgotten furniture and transforming them into feature pieces for people’s homes. It is a fantastic business that I thoroughly enjoy, but as a very social individual I ultimately decided to choose a career in real estate because it combines two of my passions – matchmaking and design. Now, instead of sitting down with clients to learn about their perfect mate, the objective is finding their perfect home. Since Fort McMurray attracts the majority of its population for the abundance of lucrative opportunity, it goes without saying that sometimes quantity takes precedence over quality. I strive to provide my clients with the highest level of service by putting their needs and wants first. Whether you are buying, selling, or seeking guidance in the preparation of either, I assure that your home buying or selling experience will conclude with you feeling respected, informed, and very satisfied. When you trust me to assist you with the most significant purchase or sale of your life, it becomes my personal goal to ensure you are left with a very positive real estate experience. I pride myself in building long-lasting relationships with my clients, and look forward to years of celebrating milestones with you.
