Airdrie Kids Commuter Ltd. is launching a new service! Effective July 2011 a new transportation service exclusively for children aged 3 and older will be launched in Airdrie. Transportation will be offered to and from kindergarten, preschool, summer day camps, and other child based extracurricular activities within Airdrie. The new service will have the following key features: · Door to door transportation of children with a high focus on safety · Constant care and attention of children by approved adults · Screened, insured, and trained drivers · Prescheduled / prearranged schedules driving children to similar or same destinations based on demand and efficiency of routes Children will be transported in 15 passenger vans equipped with approved child car/booster seats (if required). The vans will only be driven within Airdrie city limits, with zero highway transportation. Vans will meet all safety requirements and regulations as set by Transport Canada and the Alberta Ministry of Transportation. Safety will be the number one priority and will be demonstrated through our procedures and practices. Transportation is an issue for many Airdrie parents which Airdrie Kids Commuter Ltd. hopes to solve. A service like this will allow children and parents with transportation issues the opportunity to attend the many great facilities that Airdrie has to offer. We are currently accepting registration for child transportation to: 2011 Summer Programs 2011 / 2012 Kindergarten & Grade Schools 2011-2012 Preschool - Bright Explorations, Time to Play & Atlas Learning Academy ** Wait lists are secured by reservations and are placed on a first come first serve basis.
