Acadia Pregnancy Support

APS is a confidential and free resource available to any student (male or female) experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. This safe environment offers nonjudgmental peer support and accurate information on a woman's pregnancy options. We are committed to connecting students with resources that will help them continue their education and pregnancy. We are not a rights or advocacy group, nor are we interested in creating controversy; our mission is to show love and acceptance to our fellow students who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, and to connect them with positive, practical support. This is a student-led group working in a partnership with The Valley Care Pregnancy Centre (VCPC), a Christian non-profit ogranization in Kentville. The group is non-discriminatory and membership is open to all students at Acadia. Mandy Blanchard, a VCPC staff member and recent Acadia Alumna, will act as a liaison, coach, and active consultant to the group.
